A Note From the Pastor

Service Time Change =  9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.

Last Sunday night we held our 1st business meeting in over three months.  there were several decisions we had to make so I thought I would briefly list the matters that we voted on.

1.  We voted to cancel Vacation Bible School for this year - 2020.

2.  We voted to cancel our Missionary Conference and instead to have a Missions Month through the month of July and emphasize a different missionary or missions project on each of the four Sundays in the month.

3.  We voted to begin Sunday School back this coming Sunday and to move our service time from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in order to allow for us to have Sunday School at 10:00.  We will continue our 11:00 a.m. service as we have in the past.

4.  We voted to get several bids for our church termite treatment and to make a decision on the lowest bid on this coming Sun.

Our nursery will remain closed at this time.  We hope to reopen it very soon.

Mission Month Continues

This Sunday we will be viewing a video that was produced by the Gazaway family.  They are missionaries to Egypt.  So often we see Egypt in the scripture and we know how they treated the Hebrews and it is hard for us to think of them as a nation that is in need of the gospel of Christ.  The Gazaway's are a couple from Georgia that God stirred to go to the country of Egypt almost 15 years ago.  It is am amazing ting to see what they have been able to do for the Lord in that period of time.  We look forward to hearing the presentation of the Gazaway family at both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. service this morning.  Please pray for this dear family as they seek to go tell the Egyptian people that Jesus dies for their sins!

We will continue our messages on "The Miracles of Christ"  tonight @ 6:oo p.m.

We are continue our messages on "The Miracles of Christ: tonight @ 6:00.   It has been a great blessing to study from the life of our Lord each week and to see how He dealt with the problems connected to ministry.  The next miracle is found in mark 8:1-9 and Matthew 15:32-39 -- when Jesus fed the four thousand.  Even though it was recently that we read about our Lord feeding the five thousand we will find a lot of interesting information that makes this story different from the 1st one.  remember, there is a Biblical reason for our Sunday evening service.  The scripture says that we should, "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but, exhorting one another; and so much the more, as we see the day approaching."  Hebrews 10:25.

Wednesday night Study in Revelation

We started a study in the book of Revelation at the beginning of the year.  Because of the unusual situation with the Coronavirus we haven't stayed stickily with our study until the last few months.  This Wednesday night at 7:00 we will be looking at the Revelation 9:13-21, the sixth trumpet judgment.

It is one of the most unusual chapters in the entire book and shows the terrible plague that will come upon humankind at the end of time.  It should cause us all to try and reach our family and friends for Christ.  We hope you will attend and be blessed and strengthened by this study in God's Word.
