A Note From the Pastor

Results from Election Day

I want to thank each one for your commitment to pray for our nation over the last few months.  Although the results of Tuesday's election will be settled in court, I feel like we have been obedient to pray for our earthly leadership and for our nation.  We have remembered the admonition in scripture, that "prayers, intercession, be made for all men, for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.:  I Timothy 2.2.  Although many things are important, one of the most necessary things that we must do in the days ahead is to keep our eyes on Christ.  I believe HE will encourage us as we wait for a decision from the courts.  The bigger picture is that our time on earth is limited.  The little expression, "Tis one life, will soon be passed, only what is done for Christ will last" carries with it a tremendous responsibility to serve the Lord while we are healthy, well, and free.  Our home is in heaven, our future is to be eternally with Christ; but, our responsibility for now is to work for the Lord for as long as He gives us breath.

I must confess I do not know what all God is doing through this crisis our country is facing.  I pray that, whatever the outcome, it will motivate us to serve the Lord with a greater passion, a deeper love for Him, a more fervent and energetic life, and a more compassionate heart.

New Sunday Night Messages

Have you ever wondered why Jesus gave so many parables within His teaching?  Truly, the parables of Christ are amazing when we start looking at the meaning that Christ was trying to convey using ordinary objects in order to teach spiritual truth.  This Sunday night we will begin a sermon series on the parables of Christ.  It will be a very interesting and exciting study.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Again, this coming Wednesday night we will look at the coming Anti-Christ in Revelation 13.  We will also study about another Satanic person known as the False Prophet who is a partner to the "the Beast" and "the devil."  Many refer to this terrible trio as the "Unholy Trinity."  We hope you will come as we continue these timely messages concerning "end time" events.
